This blog is a place for news & updates for my online shop, These Small Hours, which provides one-of-a-kind mini-scrapbook kits. My crafty endeavors — including my own mini-scrapbooks — will also be featured here. It is my hope to inspire anyone to make something meaningful with your photos + words. It doesn’t have to be fancy! Simple is my style.
I also enjoy crafty messes, patterned paper, artsy projects, homeschooling, reading, writing, learning alongside my kids, & reflecting on all that God has done in my life. You will find a range of posts here reflecting that.
I am a 30-something stay-at-home wife + mom with a crafty, artsy-fartsy streak. My day job includes filling the five little love cups of my kids (3 girls + twin boys!), cultivating a lifelong love of learning in their little hearts through homeschooling, maintaining a home where crafty messes & play abound, recharging my batteries through reading, blogging, & crafting, and doing it all in a manner which displays God’s beauty, goodness, & Truth.
I am a Christian passionate about my faith & relationship with God. For me, being a Christian is a life-style, a way of living, not just one aspect of my life, but a relationship with God which defines & informs & directs my thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and decisions. What I mean is, what type of spouse, child, sibling, worker, etc., I am is being determined daily by my faith in Christ. It is all-encompassing to me. I am constantly in a process of change, and I truly want what is most important to me (my relationship with God) to be reflected in all areas of my life–even in all my craft endeavors! I fail everyday, but I rely on God to transform me as I walk through this life with Him.
I love cooking, trying & sharing new recipes, wreath-making, minibooks, writing, photography, reading, & living life with my family!
Here’s a smattering of crafty endeavors from the last four years that I hope to share on here eventually:
